An Undergrad's Last Summer

Just finished checking some social networking sites.
As expected, I see more pictures from the trips of some friends and acquaintances. Beaches, pools, out-of-town and even out-of-country selfies and groupies keep popping up in my newsfeed.
Then it finally hit me.
This was my last summer vacation as an undergrad student. But due to some monetary and academic constraints, here I am taking up summer classes. Bummer.
I miss the days when I spent the summer freely, no academic loads, no homework, not a worry in sight. Also in the town where I live, you could jump in the pool and spend the whole day cooling yourself in the water for a small fee. It isn't the same here in the city.
The nearest pool here would be the univ pool, but they're using that for swimming classes so no.The next option would be around 12-15 kilometers, but due to the dense population in the city, it's bound to be crowded, no space equals no fun.
To be honest I don't know how to swim but I find the water to be very relaxing (well as long as it's clean and doesn't reek of chlorine). You know what I would do? I'd be floating aimlessly on a donut-shaped floatie, letting the water carry me to wherever it pleases.
But for know, the waves will have to wait as I save up for one last undergrad trip. If my savings doesn't cut it then the money saved can still go to my "thesis fund" (yes, when you're financially challenged you must learn how to allocate your funds properly, well if you still have funds).

Fun fact! Did you know that urbandictionary.com defines the word floatie as a slang for a hard on XD
Any reactions? Is there truth to this?
